As an international family business with more than 30 companies, activities in seven countries, and exports to more than 110 countries, Group DC faces complex risks on a daily basis. Dozens of separate policies that were previously managed in paper files were brought together into a single digital fleet policy. In various countries, insurance was arranged locally, resulting in a fragmented insurance landscape with varying coverage, deductibles, and premiums. Van Dessel immediately identified opportunities to optimize this. The result was an international liability policy with uniform terms and deductibles. Subsequently, other risks such as fire, cyber, and fraud were also integrated into an international insurance structure.
