New procedure for cancelling license plates: from August 1st, the DIV will handle it!

From 1 August 2025, the way in which license plates are deregistered in Belgium will change. From then on, there will be two options: sending by mail or handing in at the FPS Mobility and Transport office in Brussels. This means that it will no longer be possible to have a license plate deregistered at a bpost counter.
